I was at a hen party recently and one of the activities organised was to have your cards read. I am not really one for card readings, not because I don’t believe in it but more because I want to intuitively live my life without subliminally crafting a journey to something I may hear in a reading. However, on this particular day I had a strong urge to participate, and so I did. In my 15-minute reading, one card in particular got me thinking. The card in question was ‘Fresh Air.’
The card reader said that my body, both mentally and physically, needs to be around nature to feel invigorated. This couldn’t be more accurate. I often feel claustrophobic if I can’t spend time near the sea or walking in the wild. But I don’t think I’m alone. Have you ever noticed how you feel when you’re breathing in the freshest of air, when you have sand running between your toes or when you're swimming in the sea? If you are someone like me that feels a significant difference, it isn’t a coincidence as Mother Nature is emitting some very healing energy…available for us all to soak up.
Did you ever consider that nature has its own frequency? Well it does and it is a frequency between 7.83hz and 8hz. But what exactly does that mean? Well this frequency has for many years been called the Schumann Resonance. The Schumann Resonance is a sound produced by a huge magnetic field that has the earth as a negative pole and the ionosphere (the atmosphere ionized by sun rays) as a positive pole. Now this frequency is way too low for our ears to hear, however our bodies can feel it.
Following the Pythagorean mathematical ratio, a note's frequency doubles every time it goes up an octave. So if we were to take the Schumann Resonance frequency and work up five octaves, we would find 256Hz, the frequency of the fourth C on the piano keyboard when tuned at 432hz - the healing tuning found in all of our music tracks.
Unfortunately, the majority of popular music these days is tuned to 440hz. Although you might think this is close, our body's say otherwise. This is by no means a beneficial frequency for our body's, or mind. I will shed some more light on why popular music is tuned to 440hz, and not 432hz, in a future blog post. However, for now, make sure you spend some time in nature to enjoy the subliminal healing frequencies available to us…and for FREE!
